Building A Complex Starts With A Great Foundation: A Site Sign

site signs, building site signs, commerical property managersBefore a building ever goes up or someone lays the first brick for a new complex, there are a thousand pieces of information that need to be shared, communicated and offered. Sometimes, much of that information has to reach people that you can't reach otherwise.

There have been a lot of advancements in technology over the years but, sometimes, the simple solution remains the same and the most effective. In the case of setting the right foundation for your new building complex before the doors ever open, it's all about the sign.

As in the site signs, building offerings, realty signs, construction signs and any other signs that help you promote what you're doing while you do it.

Here are just some of the many benefits of having clear, recognizable signage at your site.

  • Lend Familiarity: Whether you're the contractor building the new complex or the company that will move in, a sign provides passers-by with a common look and feel that extends your company's branding program across all of your properties. The more often we see your sign, the more we become accustom to your work. The more likely we are to look for your brand when new projects arise. And the more likely we are to call you when we have a project of our own. That goes for site signs, building offerings, realty signs, construction signs and the rest.
  • Uniformity: People often read by scanning, looking for objects and words to catch their eye and draw them in. Every sign you create, be it site signs, building offerings, realty signs, construction signs, etc., should share common qualities so that no one will mistake which company is behind the project, who they should contact with questions and how to recognize that company's brand when I see it.
  • Temporary & Long-Term Messaging: As the project grows or changes, does your message to consumers and potential customers change? Then update them with evolving signage that maintains your brand. No matter what the most recent news and updates, your branding and logo won't change. A little thinking ahead will go a long way towards maintaining your branding program.
  • Pre-Advertising: You're moving into a new space or a new complex but the doors won't open (or even be built) for another 3-4 months? Take advantage of this time to whet the appetite of your new customers with a fully-branded sign out front. People will already be wondering what's coming and by presenting your brand from the get-go, you create anticipation and stoke interest.
  • Induce Potential Business: Many potential renters or tenants might not be aware of your complex or project until it's being constructed. It's critical to have branded signage visible for them to see what's being built, what's available and how they can get in on the ground floor. Any sign, be it a site signs, building offerings, realty signs, construction signs, needs to always present extremely clear information as well as consistent brand awareness and placement. If anything is unclear to the potential customer, they could be lost before you even speak with them.

It's so easy to overlook the value of a sign, especially in the day of websites, billboard advertising and smartphones. But a simple solution like a well-made, branded sign can go such a long way to capture the interest of the potential customer that not having them can be a colossal mistake. Think about that the next time you walk past a construction project and wonder what it's going to be but can't seem to find any information about who's building it, who's moving in and how you can contact them.
