Do directory signs point to better customer service? Good question. If anyone answers no to it, they are dead wrong!
Directory signs are like billboards on the highway. When a customer enters a lobby, mall, hotel, or benefit area, you don’t want them to have to frustratingly scrutinize a directory to locate the establishment of their choice. You want them to see what they’re looking for immediately and go directly to it. Why? Because whether that sign is in a lobby or on an outside board, you want them to know that you understand their time is valuable and that you will direct them efficiently.
Directory signs should be visible, even at a distance. They should be colorful and, more effectively, carry the company’s logo. Imagine the traffic in a lobby or outside board where customers see it over and over. And that’s what’s important! You want their eyes to be immediately drawn to that directory sign. You want it to be thunderous compared to the rest. It’s an open invitation, warm and welcoming. Eventually that logo and advertising will be easily recognizable to them no matter where they see it. It will be remembered when they need the services of that establishment.
So, let’s ask that question again: Do directory signs point to better customer service? The answer is absolutely!!
It is advantageous to the customer for easily understandable directions to the establishment of their choice. And what's better than a happy customer before they even get into the store?
You can never get a second first impression, right? That’s what a directory sign is…a first impression. Make it the best impression and it will point to better customer service that will benefit everyone!
