In a building dedicated to the arts of all kinds, The Sign Center recently added our own piece of artwork. Mondo, the rehabilitated 1917 building in downtown Summit, N.J. partnered with The Sign Center to design and install their new storefront signage.
The sign for the Mondo building features channel letters using the building's logo design and is powered by LED lights, the most energy and cost-efficient lights on the market. Through their new sign, the Mondo building extends its unique brand to the exterior of the building, greeting regulars and newcomers alike.
A Celebration of the Arts
Mondo celebrates and highlights arts in all its forms — literary, dance, culinary, craftsmanship, visual arts, performing arts and more. The space also brings together the spirit of the Summit community.
The vertical mall brings together more than 30 local businesses into one location. Each partner in the building exhibits a commitment to offering a variety of quality experiences through artistic creations, personal services and entertainment options.
For food lovers, the building includes a cafe, coffee roaster and bakery. The space features several artisans including woodworkers, photographers and potters. Performing arts play a key role in Mondo as does movement through dance, yoga and body work.
Unique Branding Program
There isn't another building or business like Mondo in Summit and so they need a unique branding program. Walking past the building, locals and tourists might not know what Mondo is.
However, Mondo has received various press and notoriety, which all raises brand awareness. That brand awareness also extends to Mondo's website, Facebook page, social media and other materials.

They are light emitting diodes, or LED, and use just a fraction of the electricity of traditional light bulbs.
