Fortiva Wellness — Custom Backlit Lobby Sign
A custom backlit, halo-lit dimensional logo sign for Dr. Daniela Accurso’s concierge practice in Morristown, NJ — engineered around thin-stroke and gradient hurdles for a durable, premium finish.
The Challenge
Fortiva Wellness is a concierge medical practice founded by Dr. Daniela Accurso (MD, MPH, DABOM) at 160 E Hanover Ave in Morristown, NJ. Because concierge medicine is a premium service, the branding had to feel premium too — starting with the first thing a patient sees: the lobby sign.
Thin stroke thickness
The original Fortiva Wellness logo used elegant, thin lines — some strokes as thin as 0.38". A halo-lit letter needs a minimum stroke thickness of roughly 1" to house the LED modules and distribute light evenly, so the logo could not be fabricated exactly as drawn.
A digital gradient on physical letters
The logo also featured a color gradient. Gradients look beautiful on screen, but applying a durable, high-end painted gradient to dimensional letters is nearly impossible without compromising the finish.
The Solution
We designed, fabricated, and installed a custom backlit, dimensional “halo-lit” logo sign as the centerpiece of the reception area.
We were engaged during the construction “rough-in” phase: the electrical was already roughed in, the reception wall was accessible from the reverse side for clean electrical work, and Dr. Accurso’s structural drawings let us plan placement precisely — with no visible conduit or new lines.
To solve the stroke-thickness limit, our design team carefully modified the logo’s strokes to meet the ~1" minimum while preserving the brand’s recognizable look, then presented a revised proof for approval.
For the gradient, we recommended a single solid brand color over a vinyl-wrapped gradient — delivering a crisp, durable, luxury finish that won’t peel or fade.
The Outcome
The project concluded in late May 2026. With the dimensional letters mounted and the wiring connected, the lobby was transformed — the soft glow of the Fortiva Wellness logo created the welcoming, high-end ambiance that matched Dr. Accurso’s vision.
Dr. Accurso was thrilled with the result and left a glowing review, noting how the team navigated the design hurdles to deliver a product that exceeded her expectations.
