The Sign Center technicians recently had the opportunity to partner with Summit Health when the health care provider needed a stud-mounted lobby sign in Montclair, NJ. Located at 1 Seymour Street, this venue is the official Montclair Hub. Occupying two floors, it serves pediatric and adult patients with primary and specialty care services. As a result, the lobby sign had to be on point.
Laser-Cut Acrylic 3D Letters Present a Comprehensive Brand Display
The client has a well-known name and logo in the area. To do it justice, we recommended the use of acrylic. The material looks a lot like glass, but it does not have the drawbacks, such as the brittle nature or the ease with which glass cracks. Therefore, acrylic is typically the material of choice when working with a client who pays close attention to elegance and style.
For this particular project, our technicians cut acrylic with a half-inch depth. They used the laser to fabricate the letters, which resulted in crisp edges. Next, we painted the letters in white, but we did so from behind the material. Since acrylic is clear, it leaves a glossy shine on the front. The finished product was mounted to the wall with studs.
Patients visiting the location see a contemporary lobby sign that identifies Summit Health. The color matches the hue of the light fixture, which creates an aesthetically pleasing display. In fact, the illumination gives the lobby sign a slight Perlmutter look that is as sophisticated as it is well-suited for brand building.
A Closer Look at the Possibilities of Acrylic Signs
Acrylic is a cast polymer. It is durable and beautifully clear. As a result, it is a favorite for the construction of lobby signs. What else sets this material apart from others?
- Versatility. In addition to three-dimensional letters, you can also buy logo boards. These are acrylic panels that feature your corporate persona. They are excellent options when you work with limited space or want to draw attention to a focal wall.
- Information display. Did you know that you could display gradient color changes with a vinyl sign? Our technicians use UV ink to imprint your details on the material directly. Even here, there are choices. Some clients like to place assorted information on the front of the panel and some on the back. It creates a depth within the sign that is eye-catching.
- Illumination. Although acrylic signs do not come with built-in lighting, we can install LEDs behind the material. It results in a stylish edge illumination that gives your lobby a contemporary look.
