Did you know that our team worked with the friendly folks overseeing the New Providence Community Pool some two decades ago? The client recently invited us to return and put together a non-maintenance PVC sign. Check it out!

New Providence Community Pool Beckons with a New PVC Sign

After 20 years, the original sign our shop put up had met the end of its useful life.

Old Sign

It was time for a new signage setup for the New Providence Community Pool. Located at 1378 Springfield Avenue, the facility has the reputation of being “The Country Club of Community Pools,” which meant that the sign had to meet and exceed this reputation.

After meeting with the client, we learned that they were looking for a sign that would look great in any weather. Moreover, they did not want anything that needed copious maintenance. Our technicians recommended a non-maintenance PVC substrate that we would treat with vinyl and digital graphics. It is durable, looks excellent, and weathers exceedingly well. Most importantly, other than the occasional spray from a water hose, it will not need maintenance.

The client loved the new sign, inviting swimmers to return to the pool.

Top 3 Business Signs That Require Little to No Maintenance

Sign maintenance usually involves having our team come out to freshen the product’s overall look. Deep cleaning, repainting, and similar activities are part of the effort. More and more businesses are looking for signs they can have installed and then forget about.

PVC is a favorite. Crafted from solid plastic, it is known for its strength and lightweight properties. It is also resistant to water, chemicals, and scratches. Moreover, PVC signs do not warp or discolor over time. To maintain them, you might occasionally clean the signage with a mild soap solution to keep them looking fresh.

If you love the glass look, you cannot go wrong with acrylic signs. The durable material perfectly mimics glass without its brittleness. It resists weather and UV rays and does not fade quickly. Acrylic signs are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. If you do clean it, use a soft cloth and mild detergent.

Another great option is metal. Typically made from aluminum or stainless steel, the material does not rust, weather, or fade. Metal signs are long-lasting and can withstand harsh outdoor conditions. Maintenance is minimal; occasional cleaning is only necessary to remove dust or dirt.
