You are likely familiar with seeing dimensional letters on the exteriors of buildings. They serve as great primary identifiers. However, did you know that they are also quite useful inside as well? Interior dimensional letters are valued for identification, wayfinding, and safety signage. Ridge Oak Senior Housing realized this, so they contacted the friendly professionals at The Sign Center for dimensional letters for senior centers in North Jersey.
What Is Ridge Oak Senior Housing?
Located on Manchester Drive in Basking Ridge, Ridge Oak Senior Housing has roots going back to the 1960s when a group of local church members banded together to figure how to create affordable housing for the community’s seniors. Six community churches united in 1971 to create the senior housing. Today, the focus continues to be on providing a safe and comfortable living environment for all residents.
When an organization that does so much to help local golden agers came to us for interior dimensional lettering for senior citizens centers in North Jersey, we were more than happy to help out. They had recently decided to name a community room in Felmeth Hall after Robert “Bob” Boye, who has been with Ridge Oak from the beginning. We were honored to be given the task of helping them commemorate his service.
What We Did for Ridge Oak
During an initial consultation, we listened carefully to learn about what Ridge Oak had in mind for the project. They wanted to commemorate Bob’s many years of service. When our expert sign makers hear things like this, their minds immediately go to metal. Metal is valued because it presents a professional appearance and gives off an image of longevity. We provided an artistic proof for this marker, and the client agreed that it was appropriate.
We started with 1/8” aluminum letters that were laser cut to get the precise, elegant cursive. The lettering was pin mounted to the wall to add a little dimensionality to it. We installed the letters at a time that would cause little disruption to the center. In the end, Ridge Oak was completely satisfied with the job we did. The sign serves as a fitting tribute to Bob.
We Have Solutions for Your Organization
You do not have to run a senior center to benefit from interior dimensional letters. They are useful as lobby signs, room signs, directional markers, and so on. Metal is not the only material used for dimensional letters. Acrylic is an affordable material that is valued for its glossy look and versatile color options.
Clients who are interested in really having their letters pop often choose sign foam. These letters are made of high-density urethane and can achieve a thickness of up to four inches. We can paint sign foam, print directly onto it, or we can apply a metal or acrylic laminate. Wood and stone are also great options for businesses going for a natural look.
