The lobby sign is a brand-building product that impresses the customer as soon as they enter your location. An excellent example of this understanding is the work we recently did for the Suburban Eye Institute at 369 Springfield Avenue. This practice first began seeing patients in 1954. When it was time to replace the lobby sign, the client contacted us to design, produce, and install an acrylic lobby sign with stand-offs in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
Three-Dimensional Displays Demand Attention
Our clients love 3D lobby signs. This product started with a sheet of frosted acrylic that our technicians cut to shape and size. We arrived at these measurements after conducting a site survey that helped us understand the lobby's size, wall height and width, and the distance between the wall and the reception desk.
The next step was the design of 3D elements that spell out the clinic's name and display the clinic's logo. Technicians painted these elements in black, keeping with the client's preferred intra-office color palette. Next, we mounted the piece to the frosted acrylic. The glossy lettering and the matte board create an impressive look.
Installing the New Lobby Sign with Stand-Offs
It is interesting to note that the painted acrylic graphics on frosted acrylic were only one of the aspects of this project. Mounting the sign with stand-offs was the other one. Look closely, and you notice that the client's focal lobby wall features a sophisticated design that nevertheless results in an uneven installation surface for our team. Could we still expertly mount this lobby sign? You bet!
Because the product was to go behind the reception desk, we worked with long stand-offs to install the panel corners to areas of different thicknesses. The result is a perfectly level sign that is the same distance away from the wall at all corners. It is ideally sized and situated for the incoming patient to see it as soon as they walk through the door.
The Client Decided to Rebrand
Did you notice that the client's logo differs from the presentation on the website? In addition to buying a new lobby sign, the client also opted to undergo a sight rebranding. We helped with the new logo design that perfectly encapsulates the clinic's brand. Besides that, it is a fresh take on the already established logo feature.
